    See Im getting laptop for xmas. i got the Netgear WPN824 wireless router. I was wondering, will the wireless work even though my main pc is shout, where the modem and router is connected to, on my notebook :|

    You will have to connect via wired (cat5) to setup the wireless, if you haven't set the wireless up. Once setup you should not need the wired unless you need to change some security settings or firmware update.
