im having problem connecting to my router which is a netgear wireless-g. the thing is, everything was working fine this morning, the built in intel wireless in my laptop automatically connects me to my router.

and then just this afternoon when i booted up my computer it wont do it no more. everytime i try to connect it keeps asking me this profile password that i didnt even create myself. tried inputing the same password i use on the wireless but stlill wont work. really need help.

also, everytime i create a profile it doesnt show up on the list. i ran out of options/ways to fix this.

hmm im pretty new to wireless myself, just from what little experience I have fixing peoples laptops at work, maybe click your wireless connections tab and make sure your connecting to your network. Maybe sombody close to you just setup a wirless network and its trying to connect to it.

also do a hard reset on your router (pull the power cord out and wait like 30 seconds and put it back in)

If its hardware related that would fix it, the problem sounds software based on your computers side tho.

In most cases Power cycle the router will fix the problem, then re boot your pc. Make sure you are running the latest firmware for the router. Netgear updates the firmware regularly.
