I have a week and a half old dell e1505 and so far it had been great except for a little trouble getting the wireless internet to work the first day. It had been great since then until today when suddenly it stopped working again and then i ran into a few more problems. First it could see the network but had limited connectivity but i didnt have the time to look at it at that point. So i came back later and now it didnt even see my homes network. So i tried to follow the same steps that got it working the first day, turned off my router, uninstalled my network card, then restarted and turned it back on. The computer dected the new hardware and installed it but then i got a warning from mccafee saying that a registry change had been made and to block it if i didnt know what it was. So not thinking i did. I assume it probably was something to do with the network card being reinstalled. Now i still can't get online. Part of McCafee doesnt load up resulting in an error message and their fix option did nothing to fix it. THe laptop takes forever to start up.. any ideas.. ill be calling dell tomarrow but a lot of times people on here have solutions that would save me the time of fooling around with them.

You may need to do a clean install of McAfee. They have a registry cleaning email that you should ask for. It will help you remove all installs and let you reinstall the software.

You may also need to reinstall the driver for your wireless card.

Keep in mind that Dell's software installation is not perfect, so you may need to reinstall everything (which is also good for getting rid of all their bloatware).
