I apologize if this has been answered already, I could not find the answer.

I have a Dell Vostro 1500 laptop that is Bluetooth enabled. I am looking to buy a printer for it, and I'd like to be able to print wirelessly. Can I buy any all-in-one printer and get a cheap bluetooth adapter and plug it into the USB in the printer and print wirelessly?

I am also going to buy a wireless router for the laptop, does it matter which one I get, as it relates to wireless printing? Thanks in advance!

You can buy a bluetooth adapter for a printer, but such adapters usually don't support multi-function devices (there is no two-way communication).

You can buy wireless routers that have USB connectors on them. I have a DIR-655, and I connect my Canon printer to it. I have access to it from any PC on my network. It supports multi-function devices (two way communication), scanners, printers, external drives, etc. Do a little looking around and compare routers to find the one best suited for you.

OK, so I guess that's a 'no' in terms of me being able to plug a bluetooth adapter into whichever printer i get and be able to print wirelessly?

And for the wireless router, I just need one with a USB port so I can connect a cord from the printer to the router, then I'll be able to print wirelessly?

    Thanks again.

You can also get a wireless print server, such as the Netgear WGPS606, which will connect to your network via the wireless router (I don't know if you can set it up in ad-hoc mode as well in order to establish a peer-to-peer network).
