Is there any PCMCIA wireless card that doesn't stick out and that goes it flush with the laptop side?

    There is not

your only choice would be internal if thats what you want. But if your laptop doesn't have a slot for it, it be your only option to get the PCMCIA

They stick out because that part is where the antenna is. Some stick out more than others. As an alternative, there are USB types with a long cord which would allow you to position the adapter for best signal pickup. But you would still have the usb plug sticking out.
