    nvm dont look

    well i was trying to make a file share network like i posted like 30 minutes ago, and i was messing around with my network, then all of a sudden my internet stops working and so did my desktop. its on a wired router and all of a sudden this internet starts working on my laptop but still doesnt work on my desktop anyone know wats wrong?

    edit*nvm i unpluged the ethernet connection and connected it to another port and it started working...

    well i thought i fixed it and now alot of times it keeps asking me to connect to the internet wen im already connected, and if i click connected it says connecting failed cuz i think tahts for dial up, but if exit it it asks me i want to connect or work offline and i click connect it works, but i have to keep redoing it. its really annoying anyone know how to fix it or u can just help me fix the first post up there and it mite work

    So you had Dial-up service before or something? If thas the case maybe the computer is defaulting to that connection...try going into the Internet Browser settings; for IExplorer go to Tools--> Internet Options, click the Connections tab and in the little Box w/ the Title Dial-up and VPN Settings make sure no Dial-up connection is there...if so click it and remove it from the list, click Ok, OK and close the Internet Browser and try again.

    What Operating System are u running BTW? If XP another thing you can do is do a Start--> Run and type ncpa.cpl and hit enter. Click Advanced in the Menu Bar on top and select Advanced Settings. In the Connections list make sure the connection u use primarily is the one to the top of the list, if not move it up and click ok.
