    not fully connectivitu online

    the problem that i am having is that my computer will say i am connected online with the wireless icon but when i get onto internet explore it comes up with a blank screen if im not connected and also i have xfire and it says its dns looking up when i get on my laptop. What could be worng with the connection

    i have a hp pavilion dv8309us

    use ipconfig /all from a dos terminal and see what your gateway, Ip and DNS server tell you. If no Gateway, you will not get out at all. If gateway, and no DNS you can connect directly using IP address. All is good it should work unless a FireWall is blocking your port connection.
