So, heres the deal, my laptop comes on monday, so i decided to go buy a router and set it up, i got a Linksys WRT160N - Wireless N broadband router

Installation went VERY easy and my internet on my desktop which is wired directly to the router and high speed cable seem to be running just fine, but i decided to test my wireless on my router with my ipod touch

When it asks for the password i put in the router password but it says cannot connect... anyone know why this is ?

Would like to have all the kinks worked out before my laptop gets here on monday :D

    Thanks everyone

Did you set your router to "N" only??
Because the ipod touch only has 802.11G

not too sure lol, i know when i was playing around with the router, i turned the security down a little and my ipod connected just fine, so maybe it was a security issue..

i dont REALLY want to use a **** 26 character code for the router with lower security lol...

As a side note... how DO i set to N vs G etc ? seems like something i may need to know :D

Wireless -> Basic Wireless Settings -> Wireless Network Mode

    then you can pick
    N-only
    G-only
    B-only
    Mixed
    or Disabled
