i reformatted my laptop using an nlited xp sp3 disc and now i can't connect wirelessly to the internet. clicking on 'refresh network list' in the wireless network connection dialog brings up an error. wireless capabilities have been turned on (as my bluetooth mouse works).

sometimes when i try to reinstall the driver, i get an error: this device cannot start. (code 10)

any ideas why this might be happening?

    thanks.

Sounds like you might not have included all required Windows networking items when you created your nLite version. In the future, you might want to test your nLite version in a virtual PC world before reformatting your laptop.

well, i thought everything worked (and it's not like i could test wireless connectivity in a vm).

can you think of what might be missing?

I've used VM before, and I had access to the PCI bus and the wifi card. I don't recall if the VM recognized and configured a wifi connection or if it was listed as an ethernet connection.

I don't know what might have been missed. Have you checked the MSFN forum?

Personally, I would just reinstall XP.
