    no wireless card detected after format

    i formatted my computer this morning and after i reinstalled windows xp pro the wireless connection disappeared. i tried downloading several drivers but i think the computer just isn't detecting the card. it's not showing up in system>devices either... any help is appreciated thanks!

    Have you install you laptop chipset drivers too?

    also sound and video ?

    before you install wireless drivers

    if you go device mange in xp under system in control do you see any device with yellow check mark stuff under other devices?

    is you wireless switch turn on?

    what latptop is it?

    there's a question mark with exclamation mark on top of it for USB Device and Network controller. i had all the drivers updated before installing wifi driver. the wireless is on. it's AW M7700. the wifi card is intel pro 2915abg. thanks.

    If your laptop was originally installed with Vista then it was probably maximize for that OS. Some people are having difficulty getting XP drivers for Vista installed laptop since they weren't meant for it. Good luck. The manufacturer is your best bet for the appropriate drivers.
