This is a question for my friend who needs help. He just bought a new alienware laptop and wanted to setup a network at home. I own a desktop myself, but have no clue about notebooks and he was wondering if he can use his laptop as the main connection for his router and link it with his girlfriend laptop. His girlfriend have a hp notebook and they are using linksys wireless g router. I don't know if a notebook can be use like a desktop as main source for connection and routing. I know this is very noob question, but any help would be great and thanks again. :)

uh... you can just have both computers connect to the wireless router... there is no need for him to create a secondary link.
