Hi I have a netgear wnr3500 router and wifi internet browsing is extremely slow. It also drops connection. I have both a mac and pc laptop and both experience this issue.

Also my neighbor has a linksys router(I dont know which model -.-) and when using linksys it is much faster. Therefore I conclude that problem is with my router.

Using ethernet cable is very fast...

anyone else have this router and experience this issue?

Use inSSIDer to scan for wireless networks in the neighborhood and set your a wireless channel on the router so that your network is the only one using it (if possible with nothing else on neighboring channels as well)
If that's impossible choose a channel that has another network on it with very low signal strength (same about the neighboring ones- if they're all occupied it's better to choose your channel in such a way so that the neighboring ones were occupies by networks with weak signals)

Hi, I just checked the channels and Im on channel 2. My neighbor's channel is 5 and the other channel is 11. So Im the only one on channel two that my wifi can see.

Change it to 1 and have your neighbor go from 5 to 7 then all will work better.
