so, i was looking at netgear's sc101t, but i've since discovered that it's not yet vista compatible! i now need to find an alternative....

i want something that i can network two laptops to wirelessly. i'd prefer it to be byod, with at least two bays. i'd also like it to be neat looking. and for <£200....

any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

vista compatible ? most of these home used NAS runs samba(and with a web interface for admin) which I fail to see any incompability.

Adaptec/SnapAppliance Guardian OS NAS's supports Vista, provided the OS is current. But these are not cheap units. They make small 1 & 2 drive model. I have seen very few of the smaller units on ebay. Only the old models which do support Vista.

Ive heard that a lot of samba-OS NAS devices are incompatible because Vista has problems with IPv6, a protocol that Samba uses.

You can always turn off IP6. It may make a difference.
