I have a WLAN in the house via a TP-Link router. I use my desktop to access the internet. No problem. Visitors come with their laptops and can connect also without problems. I got a new mobile phone and it connected first time - no problem. My laptop tells me that it has a 2MBs connection with the router but it cant access the internet. I've messed about with the LAN settings on explorer but to no avail. Can anybody offer advice?

Have you tried checking the router's settings to make sure that things like MAC filtering aren't enabled and blocking the laptop from connecting, and that you've entered the correct security passcode into the configuration for your laptop's wireless connection?
