I have a Dell m1530 with the Intel 4965AGN wireless card, and my brother in-law has an m1520 with the same wireless card. For some reason when we search for a network his computer can find tons of available networks, but mine usually only finds 1 or 2. Why can his computer find so many more networks than mine if the computers have the same wireless card?

I was shocked at the poor wireless that my M1530 came with. So much so that I had Dell send me a Dell 1490 (802.11g) wireless card. That wasn’t the issue for me. The machine does not pull in a signal as good my old Latitude D810, but it is much better now that I have dumped Vista for XP SP2.
