No, you don't need to buy a new router. You just need to reset the password.

    Method #1:
In your web browser type in http://192.168.1.1. This should take you to the config page of your router. You will be asked for a username and password(this is the username and password just to get into your routers config page), enter this info in. Once in the config page find the section for your Wifi encryption password. If it is in plain text and you can read it, note it down, if it is all *** then change it. Make sure to change this password on your laptop as well which stores this password for the network you are trying to connect to.

    Method #2:
If you don't remember any passwords at all and can't even get into your config page, then press and hold the reset button on the back of the router for 30 secs. This should make the lights flash on the router and reset everything back to defaults from the factory. Then go to the URL I gave you in method one and set the Encryption password to what you want.

Method 1 will only work if you are directly connected to the router with an ethernet cable or on a computer that is already authenticated wirelessly.
