    hey guys i m looking to update my window xp to longhorn..want
    to confirm that if windows drivers and softwares will work
    with longhorn...

    It's called Vista... longhorn was the code name. Drivers will need to be designed for Vista. Most software will work at the vest least in compatibility mode, but not all.

    The best thing to do is to run the Upgrade Advisor for Windows Vista. It will scan your system and alert you if there are any hardware or software issues that would prevent Vista from installing correctly, or if you'll need to upgrade some programs and drivers to the Vista compatible versions, (unlikely, usually anti-virus and stuff like that)
