    i'm just about to buy the linksys wireless G wag354G just wanna to ask if it's good enough for browsing, streaming vids (youtube), downloading eg. steam stuff, and some gaming because my brother plays runescape and WOW

    That's a modem and a router. Are you sure you need a modem + router all in one? I personally love their WRT54G lines. I'm familiar with them, and they simply work.

    I would not even consider a Linksys WRT54G or GS, These are nothing but problems. Look at the WRT54GL model, it is what the WRT54G use to be before they switched to vworks firmware (non linux). For what you are trying to do the 11g will work fine. If you need more control of the router you can move to the dd-wrt firmware.

    I no longer buy routers that I can not load after market firmware into.

    Personally, my familiy owns all of these routers. I've not had an issue with any of them. My router I can load aftermarket firmware on to (older version) and the newer one I got (separate network for firewall) works fine. It's not a problem at all.

    If you do want to install aftermarket firmware, I suggest you get an older linksys on ebay, or find another brand.

    ok so i've missed the bidding time limit and i hesitated and didn;t bid higher,
    can you guys suggest some more adsl wireless modem + router less than 100pounds or $200.
