My laptop connects to a wireless router just fine the problem is I would like to set my laptop up to be a hotspot (which I figured out how to do through the netsh commands) and connect my phone to it and use that internet connection to avoid data usage. The main reason the router is on the entire otherside of the house and the computer can connect okay but the phone has difficulties. Also in situations overseas where you can only have one device connected to the wifi at a time I can have my computer connected and my phone and still be able to use my phone for calls etc. as I will have no service overseas. I have tried 3rd party software and it still won't work and the wireless card I have is the intel dual band wireless 7260HMW 802.11AC Basically I can't seem to get the connections to share so I can get my phone connected to my computer but it won't connect to the internet meanwhile my computer is connected to the internet. And I am running windows 8.1 Thanks for any help you can give me.
