i'm having a problem with my network at home.
we have cable or dsl, can't recall which one, with wireless setup in the house. there are 3 desktops in the house, out of which only 2 are usually on the network (a wireless router that we use has 4 "splits" so to say). i brought my laptop (hp zx 5000) home now everytime i try to connect to the network, whether wireless or wired, i keep getting randomly disconnected. sometimes its only once an hour, other times its once evry 30 seconds. what could be causing this? none of the desktops get disconnected..

It's odd that you see the same behavior with both wired and wireless connections. Have you tried connecting to another access point to see if you can replicate the issue?
