    I am using dells system restore to put every thing to the way it came from the factory because of a virus i cant get rid of. I was wondering wat i have to do to keep my wireless network?

    See if there's an export settings in your wireless client utility.

    Usually the old fashioned pen-and-paper works well. Just click through all the tabs and write down what's there.

    If you dont have a secure setup (wep, wpa) nothing is necessary besides the driver (and if you want client utility besides windows) - Otherwise, when you resetup your PC, all you will need to do is connect to your wireless network via windows utility and supply your wep/wpa key OR configure it in your wireless client utility -

    If you don't have some complicated cooperate network setup on there, you just have to install the driver. Windows provides a utility for connecting the the router, so you don't even have to install that.

    I didnt set it up some guy did that my parents paid for did it. It is secured. And a disc came with my router do i need to install this to my laptop?

    Then it's easy. After you reformat, install the driver and enter your password. Not need to install the CD, that's just documentations and such

    Driver? isnt the driver in the cd? I dont even know the password, is there a way to find out. My router uis a asus.

    It is also wpa.

    And by password u mean network key right?
