I know this subject has been visited before, but I can't seem to find the thread...

I just got my new inspirion 9400, with the intel pro wireless, and it doesn't seem to be able to maitain a connection, I tried disabling the bluetooth but it hasn't helped either...

So if anybody has a solution to this little problem I wont be forced to call dell customer support the day I get my laptop...

    thx

Perhaps a driver or router firmware update?

If you could provide some more details on exactly what's happening, we could probably help more.

thx for all the quick replies, but I spent 3h with the dell guys, and we figured out that its a problem with the card itself, it probably keeps shorting or something, wich shuts it down all the time, so I willbe getting a new laptop in the mail shortly...

    thx all

I have a Netgear router and it always needs to be restarted because the wireless quits working. If your desktop has a wireless card or you have another laptop try that to see if it is your computer or the router. Does it say the wireless card is disabled when it quits working.
