    intel 5300 unable to install driver

    I bought a intel 5300 for ibm from ebay and installed into my clevo m570Ru but i couldn't install the drivers. When i manually forced installed the drivers it went BSOD. Any ideas on how to solve this?

    I don't think it's a good idea to use IBM cards in non IBM/HP laptops.
    there are cases with Dell notebooks that cannot use them..
    It's better to go with generic ones.

    is there anyway to flash the bios of the card ?

    Never was able to get a card designed for Lenovo/IBM laptop to work in a non Lenovo/IBM laptop. Tried in an Acer, Asus, no luck. Code 10 each time.

    yeah i thought so too but i've been reading around if you can change the vendor id and the device id it would be able to run. I've seen some people bring broadband cards and putting it into macs or some mac cards into windows platform simply by change those two. If I can just get like a guide on how to do it, i'm sure it's possible to get it to run.
