i got an intel 5300 mini pci-e cheap off flea-bay. i removed my 4965 and restarted. windows picked up a 4965 and all was working  i forced the driver to 5300 and the card stopped working. everest says its a 4965 also.
the sticker on the card says 5300 but the 2 cards look physicaly the same.
    have i been had?
does anyone have a pic of a 5300?
another thing, does it matter which aerial wire (1 black, 1 white) goes on which terminal? they have been on 1 and 2.
EDIT: ignore title, i meant 4965 (can a mod change)

If Windows think it is a 4965 you most likely got scammed.

Check the MAC on the card and compare it to what windows tells you.

If the MAC doesn't match then you got scammed.
