    i just got a Linksys WRT54GS, and i need major help making it work, and how to hook it up. Also, my dsl is like 56k now, i have to put in a password to log on, and then it has to dial up???? wtf, i cant even use the phone while im on the internet, and i have dsl.... :( someone please help me :(

    For a second I thought you needed serious help...

    Try reading the manual for your router (Linksys is known for good manuals, even if the configuration routines aren't straightforward) and look into the various sticky threads by nickspohn at the top of this forum.

    what about my DSL? it doesnt connect to the computer right when i turn the computer on. I have to go to the internet connections, then sign on.... wtf? i never had to sign on, it would just go. Plus it dials a number to get on the internet. Thats really wierd! why is it doing this?

    The DSL is DSL, not your router. The router is just distributing the internet to the PC's you have wireless/wired. I would contact your ISP as they will know exactly what to do and they guide you directly since your on the phone with them.

    Ncikspohn is right on talking to your isp. Sounds like you have everything wired wrong to start with. Your isp's tech help will set you straight.
