when I play an online game everything is good until suddenly the ping hits to 600ms for seconds and things return to normal afterwards! also I don't know if this has something to do with it but also I face a ginormous delays when browsing the web for the same amount of time..all connected devices works perfectly except mine!

sometimes the wireless data transfer completely stops, I can never browse or play games in peace until I reset the modem itself, works for a while and then the problem starts again!

I hooked my laptop with a CAT6E cable and worked perfectly! so in the end the problem lies within my laptop! is it my wireless card? the antenna? or just screwed setting? the wireless driver is updated! and the card is intel wireless N 130

    thanks in advance

Not necessarily your laptop- it may be interference.
Download inSSIDer (free software) and survey your surroundings and change wireless channel on the router if needed to avoid interference.

I'm afraid I have 0% of knowledge when it comes about wireless networking so bear with me..

I downloaded the software and now I see 5 MAC addresses on 2.4GHz channel (including mine), non on the 5GHZ channel so far!

so I understand that I should change the channel into 5Ghz?

P.S. just to remind you. all the wireless devices works perfectly except mine.

It's not a dual band card so it won't be able to pick up 5GHz band even if your router transmits it.
Try to change your channel in such a way so that on the graph it doesn't overlap with other networks.

Assuming yours is Thomson the channel is OK and non-overlapping but you should use WPA2+AES as a security instead of WEP.
WEP can be cracked within a minute.

I don't think intruders are the problem, we would have connection problems otherwise..the connection now is good and at full speed!

P.S. I think I found out the problem, but will tell you soon as I make sure!

I know intruders are not the problem- that was just an additional information.
You're using security measure that was no good in 2005 let alone today.

I too am having the same issue with my router trying to play blacklight retribution. I have had a problem like that before and now my entire internet is unresponsive if im not connected via cable. I ran your program and im the only one on my channel and im not overlapping any other internet. Don't know if this is relevant but also the baby monitor has started getting massive interference that just started today. Also my other pc can't connect wirelessly at all it says there is no connection found. Any ideas on what can fix the issue.

I knew this was related to a bad windows files, everything just fine after reformatting, all started when I forced the system to shutdown while updating windows with .net framework 3.5, lesson learned!
