    hp pavillion dv6000 wireless

    Hi

    i have a hp pavillion dv6000, its been working great on wireless for ages but all of a sudden i've lost wireless connection, there is now no option for wireless in my control panel, switch is on but orange not green, absolute nightmare can anyone help, a guy in pc world said it might be something to do with the function keys, I may have pressed something by mistake and switched it off ???

    thanks for the info, unfortunately it is over 2 yrs old now so I think I might have a problem getting it fixed under warranty, maybe I should bite the bullet and buy a new laptop, I'm ready for throwing it out the window :)!!!

    You should try calling anyway, you might just get lucky and score a new notebook.

    Well, a USB wireless adapter might be a cheaper alternative until you get a new laptop. But as flipfire suggested give them a call and enquire about it. I definitely wouldn't pay them ridicules $$$ to fix it.
