    Advise you how?

We actually need to know more of what your goal is. You want to go wireless at home? Or everywhere?

If you have att dsl, they are likely going to provide you with a dsl modem with a built in wireless router

This will give you wireless capabilities in your home

An ATT Connect card will give you wireless capabilities anywhere you can get cell phone access--but it will cost you a monthly fee in addition to the cost of the card and your yahoo dsl. (last I checked about $69)

There may not be a linux driver for your an ATT Connect card...don't know.

Well you pretty much told me what I needed to know. I wanted to be able to go to meetings of a user group wireless. Not too interested in it at home. But $69 bucks+card+bundled payment of about $158 kind of beyond my limited income. Thanks for heads up.
