i disabled the auto-update function of the linksys rangeplus WRT110 router on the router configuration page. its current version is 1.0.0.4 i think and now i went to linksys website and saw there's a new version: 1.0.0.5. i downloaded it to the main PC and logged into the configuration page to do the update. thing is, it said i have to get the correct file path or something like that.

    any idea?

Yes, you should be able to choose the file. Go into where you saved the firmware on your PC, and get it from there. ;)

sounds like you may have downloaded the wrong bin file?

EDIT: OK, I looked and since there is only one version of this router, I doubt that is the case.

    Maybe a bad download?

Maybe you can actually list the complete error message, or better, a screen capture?

Where did you download the file to? I've seen programs have issues when a folder heirarchy is too long (more than 255 characters). Where is the file now?

    OK solved your problem

You are trying to upgrade your firmware with Firefox as the browser, correct?

Log into your router with Internet Explorer

Hey Guys, hope you can help. I bought a Linksys wrt110 router which came with 1.0.0.4 firmware and the disconnections with it have become really bad in the last few weeks.

Reading info on the web it seems a lot of people have had the same trouble with this version of the firmware and have reverted to version 1.0.0.2 to fix it.

Does the 1.0.0.5 version of the firmware work? Has anyone found this to solve this disconnection problems?
