    i have a 2 laptops and a linksys router
    both laptop with vista

    i just wonder how to play movies from the other computer's hdd (wirelessly)
    (not download and play)

    plz provide me a detail setting,
    although i did alot of searching, that makes me confusing more lol
    thx a lot

    turn on file sharing function on.

    i did turn on file sharing and discovery, but how to find it from the other laptop?

    if its Vista you can enable Media Sharing , this will make all shared folders to displayed in other Networked system's Windows Media Player

    but if its XP then you need to manually look for it under Network Neighborhoods
