There a network called Linksys which is unsecured that my laptop want to connect to instead of mine.

I thought my router reset itself but it didn't. Someone got a new router in my area. I have to disconnect then reconnect to the right network.

Is there a way to make my laptop ignore it and connect to the right network?

First thing, if your network SSID is called Linksys, change it now to a random set of numbers and letters. Second, I am not sure what OS you are using but with the network utility you are using, try to find the network SSID called Linksys and uncheck the preference to auto connect at login.

Usually you can set a preferred network to logon to using connection profiles - same where an encryption key os usally stored.

Next it's to switch off something like - auto roaming. This way you connect to your wireles only, and if it's not there it doesn't try to connect to others down the list.
