I have ibm thinkpad 760xl #9547-u9k, i bought a dsl modem card(linksys ethernet card) for it because i have dsl on my home computer. Now when i unplug it from my home computer and hook it in the card on the laptop, it has a plug that comes from it, nothing happens??I put the drivers on, windows recognized it but nothing. Now did i forget something or configure wrong or does this not work with this laptop or what??What did i not do ????

Have you tried resetting the modem? Power it off for a minute then restart it when you have it hooked up to the laptop. That may help.

    First PC = Vic-20, 8" 128KB Home-Brew Floppy Drive ... Current Rig = eMachines m6805 ... Quantum Leap?
