I recently got a netgear wgr614 router. I am using a desktop with windows xp and a new laptop with vista. I would like to share files among the computers, but am not having any luck. The folders on my desktop are set for sharing, but in both computers when I look at the network/workgroup I can't see the other computer. Any help?

Have you run the "Set up a home network" wizard on both computers?

Did you try shutting down the firewall?

Thanks for the responses - the problem was that the workgroup name on my vista laptop didn't match the one I set up on my xp desktop. All is well now!
