    i have a netgear WGR614. I set it up about 3 weeks ago to my pc and my laptop will pick it up but regulary looses the connection every 10 minutes. ive tried changing the channel and updating the router. there is nothing in the way of the signal. any ideas?

    just an FYI... my brother bought that router and also had connection problems... we returned it and switched to linksys and everything works much better...

    Are you using Cable or DSL for your ISP? If you are using DSl is it using the PPPoE standard?

    Do you have a cordless phone running at 2.4 nearby? If so, change to a 5.8 cordless or move the phone further away. I was always getting bumped too and was tired of moving the phone so bought a 5.8 and now...no problem with phone beside me...have D-Link router
