message may have been sent in error. Do you use this through/for work?

This seems mainly directed to companies that are using Microsoft Office Live Communications Server--does your company do that?

Talk to your IT people--I suspect what they will tell you is to create a NEW account for work related tasks and keep your private one for yourself

Are you still using the old .net passport accounts? This "message" looks a lot like the ones that a lot of people got a couple years ago. You'll need to "upgrade" or "change" your .net passport in order to access new features. E.g. the live mail, skydrive, lives sync ...etc. Microsoft is probably discontinuing the old "hotmail" and transferring all of its users to new servers. When you upgrade your account, all of your settings, mails..etc will remain the same.
