    i need help buying a router (dsl) for a dell internal wireless 1390 802.11b/g please help please tell me the model

    I don't really like the dell 1390 but I have seen them work well with both netgear and linksys routers.

    linksys router all the way! Do you do alot of file sharing? i would get a linksys WRT54G router.

    No, no, no... Everything but not this. WRT54G was ok from v2.0 to v4.0. After that instead of linux it runs on VxWorks and RAM and flash were cut in half to 8MB and 2MB respectively.

    The same applies to WRT54GS- V5 and up= don't buy!

    Good one is Linksys WRT54GL but you'll be better off with Linksys WRTSL54GS (CPU Broadcom 266MHz, 32MB RAM, 8MB flash+USB) or ASUS WL-500g Premium (same specs+ 2xUSB). Both can run alternative firmwares like DD-WRT.

    Well that's what you buy if you want a good router, don't ask me about the cheap ones ;)
