    Hello All
    Recently i was gifted a laptop by my bro. its sony vaio with model number VPCCW1ZEG. it has window7. it is working fine except that internet is not working in it. i have lan connection but i cant figure out the the problem why net is not coming.

    i wonder if anybody could come out to help me.

    First, is the network adapter present in Device Manager?

    Second, is it enabled under NETWORK AND SHARING CENTER > MANAGE NETWORK CONNECTIONS

    Second check to see if the Personal FW is not blocking the connection.

    If what gerryf19 said isn't present, you obviously have another computer, no? Download the driver for it from the Sony website or somewhere, and install it.
