Ok, I used to have my laptop and my Xbox 360 connected via their ethernet ports and had my laptop setup to send my wireless signal from my router, into my 360 so I could play on Xbox Live. Well, I was a genius and thought if I lifted my laptop up on something (two big boxes with decks of playing cards in them) it would be cooler. Unfortunately I left it on there one night and my laptop fell and smacked my 360. Now the ethernet ports won't work, but i'm not sure which is the broken one. My laptop and 360 both still work to play games and stuff on, but it seems I need to figure out and get one (or both) repaired. I was just wondering if there was like a test or something to figure it out on my laptop. Thanks if you can help me, thanks anyway if you can't.

Disable the wireless on the laptop, connect via ethernet cable to the router, and try to connect to the internet. If the ethernet port doesn't work, you know it's broken.
