    thanks ill look for sales there but i can get a netgear signal at my friends and it wont connect to it any explanation?

    He may have his network secured and you would need the passkey.

    Do you have the wlan autoconfig service running? Sometimes people will tweak this by services.msc and turning it off. A silly one that I did a week ago was with my fiance's laptop I was trying to figure out why she couldn't connect or get anything, lol I didn't know it had a little switch on the outside. freekin hilarious.

    Do you have another wireless with the same subnet and/or SSID? Or is his SSID hidden. If so you need to add it manually.
