I recently purchased a dell vostro 1400 with vista and I can't connect to the internet. I don't know alot about computers but I can usually manage. I went to connect wireless and found my family's network (it is security-enabled). tried to connect but it didn't let me. that made sense, it was secured. but then I could not find a place for me to enter the password and stuff like that. please let me know how I can connect to the internet. thanks for your time and help.

Once you click to connect to it, as it tries to connect a box should pop up asking you to enter the password.

I clicked to connect to it, and no screen or window popped up. after it said it couldn't connect, it said diagnose the problem (it said "view wireless security settings on this computer to verify they are compatible with this network", i clicked that and it closed the window) and connect to other networks.thanks again.
