hello everybody, I recently ran into a few small/minor issues with my dell xps 13, one of thte isues lye's within my wifi/wireless internet connection, the other with performance, which I think has to do with my dell laptop and the fact that I'm not tech savvy with driver updates and also the dell website wont let meu pdate my drivers with the dell auto detect srice they provide, as its buggy and doesn't work for me.

so I was wondering if there was anyway to maximize the performance of my current "Dell Wireless 1820A 802.11ac" network adapter, which is the current netwrk adapter installed on my computer, ive determined this via device manager. I thought this laptop had "killer wifi" prior to me peaking around in the device manager, ther I found out it has the dell wirelss 1820A 802.11ac, and not killer wifi. I will get anywhere from 2 bars up to 4 bars some times, a few times I was getting 5 bars (which is the most bars/signal I can get with my current setup) - and its only gotten worse. ive tried re-arranging the antennas and the way the antennas face, like adjusting them to point towards my designated laptop-area of use, which is my bedroom, I'm only about 20-25 feet away from the router, so I'm confused on why my signal differs so often from 2-4 bars, when it used to be steady at 5 bars, anybody here experience similar issues, or have any insight?

I heard there is a pretty cheap upgrade I can buy on amazon for like $30 bucks, to an intel based wireless card/network adapter for this model/make, but I'm not financially stable right now for that, I still need to come up with my rent money, so its not an option. given what I have to work with, is there anything I can do to increase performance with this card, maybe tweaks/adjustments in device manager diver-advanced settings? I'm not extremely up-to-speed or tech-sav enough to do this on my own, as I've tried tweaking settings before in task managers background processes and ive only made matters worse for myself in the past, so anything would be really appreciated and I thank you for your time in reading this! :D

someone told me if I were to goto device manager, open my network adapter driver tab, you know after oyu open properties you can update your driver or roll it back and uninstall it? in there, they said under advanced tab, you can adjust specifc settings, he said to ajust the "throughput settings to its max", and also to let windows turn the device off for power saving under power-plan, another genrlemen insisted I disable Bluetooth collaboration in device manger under advanced, can anybody vouch for these ideas/tweaks?
