Ok folks. this may not be the place for this problem but I figured you know everything else so it's worth a try. Background: my new nc6000 is connected via linksys router to the dsl modem on the desktop. the first night, we hadn't set up any of the security stuff on the router, and boom, the nc6000 connected and accessed the internet right away, as soon as i hit the wi-fi button. Last night we changed the ssid and enabled the wep key on the router. On the notebook (uses alteris client software for the wlan) i assigned the new ssid and what i think was the right wep key. It now says we are connected and the signal strength is excellent. I can transmit at 54 mbs, but recieve only at 1, so i can't get online. I tried looking at a ton of different stuff, but this appears to be way over my head. Help!!

    chris

update: after some more messing with it, i entered in ALL the wep keys to the laptop and that seems to have fixed the receiving end. It still doesn't want to set up an internet connection, though when i clicked on the little popup passport sign up box, it logged on and that's how i'm typing this. any ideas for setting up the actual connection?
