    i wana get a bluetooth mic/earpiece for my laptop, was just wondering will it work with both laptop and cell phone? or would it be separate, different kinds of bluetooth, etc etc....

    It depends. A run-of-the-mill bluetooth earpiece will work with most cell phones, but only with you computer if it supports the HSF (Handsfree) profile. A bluetooth headset will most likely work with your laptop, but not the cell phone unless it has AD2P (Or something like it).
