Is one much better than the other for stability?

I currently have a D LINK USB wireless card plugged into my desktop...i lose my connection a lot, and it's slow (802.11b)...

if i upgrade...does it matter what i get? should i switch to a PCI wireless card..do they work better?

    thanks :)

not knowing if they made wireless "g" cards I ran out and rumaged in my parts box. I have a linksys pci "b" card. So you may be stuck with USB, btw, I have several netgears WG111v2.

As far as which is better? USB or PCI? I like the fact that PCI is internal and cant be tinkered with. Downside, because of their location, they can have a difficult time reaching maximum reception. USB on the other hand, other than being cheap (i have 4) can be plugged into a USB port and the netgears come with an extention so you can position it for best reception.

Yes you can purchase an PCI wireless g card. Look on newegg or at your local BB/CC. As far as which one is better I honestly couldn't say.
