Hey guys, I bought this card on ebay to replace my constant dropped connection killer 1103. Its been working fine, but recently I saw what other intel cards looked like and i noticed that mine looked different.. mine doesnt have the color coded triangles for the connection plugs, and it looks different from the others i've seen.

Not fake. Yours is the generic version without the P/N. Using google search of that P/N: 04w00n shows that it's a Dell's version of the Ultimate-N 6300. Basically, the purpose of P/N is to make sure that those laptops with whitelist will not accept any kind of WiFi cards except for WiFi cards with P/N stamped on them. Lenovo is notorious for implementing whitelist on their BIOS.

i see, so the generic version i have has numbers instead of the color coded triangles as well i guess, I wonder why they did that, does it mean it doesn't matter what order you connect the antennas?

The color coding makes it easier for people who are working the factory assembly to put those antennas. The white triangle means you connect the white colored cable to the Main while the black colored cable to the AUX and the gray colored to the middle (optional but necessary to obtain 450 Mbps link speed)
