This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    hi. im buying a new laptop (sony vaio vgn-cr200e) and i was wondering if anyone knew if i needed to get an adapter so that i can access the internet. yeah. im not too smart with this lol. umm. i have wireless internet at my house connecting a couple of my computers. its the linksy wireless g broadband rouder. idk if that helps, or it was worthless info. thank you very much ^^.

    almost all notebooks these days have wireless cards standard. on the box, you should look for something that says intel wireless (network) adapter a/b/g or something similar to that nature.
