Well my ethernet plug doesnt work. My wireless works but when i plug in ethernet it just says local only unlike the wireless. Wireless says local and internet. Could it be a driver issue? I did do a fresh install a while ago but have never tried my ethernet until now

Yes in that case, it could possibly be a driver issue. Go to your computer's manufacturer website and search for your computer, the OS your using and look under the Network section for the Ethernet adapter driver. Download and Install and make sure the adapter is enabled.

It could also be the cable. Try using a different one.

Are you trying to use wired and wireless at the same time?

What laptop do you own? Does the NIC show up in the device manager?
