OK...I bought this router (belkin) about 3 weeks ago. At first everything seemed fine, but after a couple days I could no longer get online. I tried to reinstall the router and setup a new network. Which seemed to solve the problem but after 2 or 3 days, I could no longer get on line, or so I reinstalled again, 2 or 3 days later same problem. At this point I've probably been through this routine about 5 times. Additionally when the router is working the internet moves so slow it often times feels like I am working on a dial up modem. Hardly the performance I expect from a new laptop. Right now I am trying to avoid calling the company because their customer service is obviously outsourced, and can be quite hard to follow the instructions. So what can I try to do to fix this problem are there any changes I need to make the computer itself. Any help is appreciated.

Once this happen again, before you think of reinstall again, next time try to reboot the router. This just happens to me this morning, however, its only 2-3 months, not 2-3 days, which is very odd. My reason to reboot is that my DSL provider sometimes change my IP address, the router needs to reboot to adjust it.

I've actually tried to reset the router, but when I do, that also knocks out the network.

I have never had a Belkin work more than 1 mo without dieing. I no longer buy or recommend them, not reliable. When they do work maybe 1-2 day before they locking up, then require a reboot. Take it Back and get something else.

Try updating the firmware,if that dosen't work I would do what blue68f100 suggest, might just be a bad router (I've have had a belkin for 2+ yrs with no problems). But it seems that more than a few people are ???
