Is the phone wireless? Im assuming it is, most newer or more common wireless phones work on the same frequency as 802.11b/g do. SO when it rings it will interfere with the wireless signal from your router. Either buy a different frequency phone or change the wifi channel. You can do this by opening a web browser and logging into the router/WAP and changing the channel. Good luck

The wireless uses a 2.4ghz band width. Buy wireless phone in 900mhz or the 5.2 ghz. Or buy a 11a (5ghz) wireless AP and card for you wireless.
