    got a prob
    d-link 2640b makes phone line very noise tried other filters and cables and still the same
    anyone help :confused: :confused:

    Have you used the filters recommended by the ISP provider? Have you installed the filters wherever there is a phone?

    got the one you get with the router and still got a lot of noise can you get a more better filter that can cope with the noise

    You may make your own filter but are you setup and knowledgeable to make one? Plus the PSTN will not like that you connect something home made in their network.

    You could put a spectrum analyzer and find if it's a noise along the bandwidth or just at certain frequency, then build the notch filter to tank that noise. It could also be the 50/60HZ from the utility company.

    I'll do some research how to improve the noise response and come back to you later.
